The guys noticed on the weekend that my lights where out and 1 of my tail lights.
Got home and replaced tail light globe, all is good there. Pulled out both front globes and tried new ones and nothing. Still only high beam.
Checked fuses all good. Check low beam relay with high beam relay (swapped over) and still nothing. Everything works, blinkers, tail light,
high beam, instrument lights, horn, thermo fan. What the hell could it be..... any ideas guys. I can't see any damage to wires at all.
HELP PLEASE

Sounds a bit like one of the light circuits (can't remember if there's 2 or 3 on the 9 - I'm thinking 3) isn't being switched. What's the ignition switch like?

Looks like you will have to work your way back to each connection in the low beam circuit with voltmeter till you get around 12 volts. Btw - did the the low beam terminal on the connector look overheated or discoloured ?

Got a wiring diagram at all?
I've got one for a 00/01 UK model, so it's a tad different around the ignition/right handlebar area. However, if it's right, the wire you're after is blue with a yellow trace from or near the ignition switch. There's obviously power getting to the switch - everything else works. If there's no power to that wire with engine running, something in the ignition switch is the problem. If it was a short to earth I'd have expected a fuse to pop. Could be, though.

All sorted...The 6 pin scarp plug that connects the headlights to the wiring harness, had a bent pin.
Must have been like that, since I bought it. Straightened it up and hey presto.
Well all fixed and thanks for the input guys.
