Pods open up the air-flow a lot, so you will definitely need to rejet once you put the pods on. As Phil said, they can be a pain in windy, rainy conditions and I have had mine develop a miss riding in torrential conditions. Mind you, it has only happened a couple of times in 35,000km and you can also buy brackets off Kwick to mount your covers over the pods to stop it from happening. http://kwickstand.net/Hyper-Formance.co ... overs.html

I personally think the ZRX looks better with pods and if you want the extra performance, they allow the airflow for that; they also open up the storage section under the seat to double its capacity with the battery out kit from Motofab http://www.moto-fab.com/motorcycle-part ... od_29.html , but they do have their drawbacks if you don't cover them.
