Gen 1 needs suspension work. Race tech springs and valves make all the difference on the forks. The rear shock needs a slightly softer spring and a revalve as well.

Just been down this path, and an Z09 now resides in the shed. Fortunately mine had upgrades to suspension and exhaust when I got it. It's heaps of fun and I am very happy with it. Unless your a boy racer, don't dismiss the 2nd series. Also, my agreed insurance value is 5k more than than I paid for it, got to love that :-)

They look better in white!

I have had other bikes while owning this one, but the Zed I keep due to how much fun I have on it. Others may be outright quicker, but every time I rode something else I would always be thinking that I wished I was on the Zed at least once on the ride.
