2011 Z1000

Has anyone heard of gearbox problems with this model ?
It took us a year to convert a Harley Rider to a Zeddy, he's had it two weeks and fourth gear went :?
Only 3000 on the clock and it has a bent selector, shop is saying Kwaka may try to blame him....even though he's a Grandad like me

Dont know about that model but sounds similar to what happened to the 6R box.

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=33930&hilit=Zx6+gears

My mistake was to NOT listen to the bike shop (SA's) and kept riding it thinking it was the lever adjustment, oil type, or as someone suggested my riding style  It in fact was preventable being a bent shift fork as I first thought and it ended up costing $1k+ labour

Poor Robbie... and to be given a 250 as a courtesy bike
I doubt they will blame him (there will be up roar if they do)
Zeddy is brand spankers so she's under warranty. .. can only wait and see

Poor Robby....won't do Toy run on a 250
It was the girl (Daughter) at SA's that told him warranty might not cover it :? SURELY IT WILL

Well that's just getting fussy. At least he is allowed to ride. I'll be climbing the walls soon :x
I saw that chick park her rav4 or something similar the other day at the shop. Lets just say she's not the best representative for the female species when it comes to driving/parking

It's a bit rich when bike shops jump the gun at blaming owners/riders before even looking at the bike.
I had a similar thing happen to me when my brand new zeds clutch went after 1000kms. They blamed me for stunt riding. While that wasnt the case and even if it was, it was my bike and i'll ride it how i see fit. It's under warranty so fix it.

Im sure warranty will cover it

They're doing it under warranty, he had to make a few calls himself though :?
