New pipe for the rex....

Postby J-rex » Mon May 28, 2012 9:59 am

I recently managed to snag one of these lovely BEET Nassert systems for the rex, full Ti and super light!.

Sounds fantastic, although quite a bit louder than the Akra as the can is a race version....is a nice length can too, bit shorter than standard.
....I still love the Akra but just wanted something different and was always drooling over the Jap Ti pipes. Still need to do some re-jetting to get it right so hopefully a dyno run soon to see where its at.....I doubt its making more power than the Akra, more or less the same. :D

Rearsets are Arata/Striker from Japan, 4 position adjustable..
Front brakes are made up of a GSXR1000 Nissin radial master, CBR1000 Tokico calipers on radial brackets made by a guy in Taiwan....don't know if he still makes them but i can dig up his details if you want..

Nice looking pipe, but to me it looks like it would drag, & seems to be very low?? :?

I thinks its the way the header pipes are bent that makes it look like that, they're hand bent as well as being longer than say my old Akra...
Never really had any issues with clearence or dragging though.... :?
