Come on one and all, like arseholes everyone has an opinion, I want a good performing full exhaust system for my little red beast, I already have end cans on the stock headers, that replicates the look of the original 4-2-4 system, recommendations, statistics and pictures please, and above all price and where you got them i.e. local or OS.
I know there are probably real good 4-1 and 4-2 but I do like the look of the original pipes, all recommendations must come with a pic :D :D :D I could be be persuaded to look at 4-1 or 4-2

A full Muzzy looks good, (I think) on my 2004 Z.

A full 4-1 system looks, sounds and goes much better. That was and would still be my choice.

My bike came with ZX9R 4-1 header and pipe with the very quiet ZX9R muffler.
I thought about changing back to standard headers with different mufflers, but heard the ZX9R headers flow better, so kept them.
Changed the muffler to the viper bolt on and now sounds awesome.

You have seen mine Eric.....how you could go past a quality 4-1 I dont know.......

Just ask Firey, he has just put a new pipe on his Z, ask him what he thinks of the 4-1 compared to the 4-2 ;)

Did a couple of thousand kays with the 4-2 and friday a run with the 4-1 Akra full system. Night and Day :D

Above 6K rpm it has more punch! Not loud at low revs but a nice sound and a proper sportsbike scream up higher 8)

I'm with you Eric, I like the look of the stock system or the 4-2.
Not keen on the 4-1. Looks like something is missing IMHO.

I much prefer the 4-2 system.
But to my knowledge you cant get a full system in that configuration.

The issue is here is form over function still undecided :( :( however it doesn't look like there to many 4-2 full systems out there, however half the fun is the investigation :kuda:

+1, i like the look of the 4-2 and it was a big contributer to which bike i bought back in the day.

I may have less power dontknow.gif etc etc etc, but honestly it doesnt show if or when the mood strikes me.

And i like the sound of snap crackle and pop, i have standard headers with Yoshi tri oval, no baffles.

Afterall i only commute

You can go ZX9 4-1 headers and a Yoshi R77 like I did. R77 was from a Bandit. Here is a bigger version of the avatar.
