Hey all,

I'm thinking of putting clip ons on my 03 Zed. ideally i am after a lower grip height and because ive had the fork change i think i can get clip ons above the triple clamp(see photo)

it measures 28mm from clamp to top of "fat" section of shocks, i understand that i may need a "stopper" above the clip on so if it loosens it wont come off, i should be able to do this off the original bar mounts?

Any thoughts/input appreciated.

Cheers, Nick :kuda:

Yeah, but the shocks wont allow a drag bar,my current bars just miss the shock by a bees dick now as they go up and over, i could do custom bars, but ideally i want them basically where a clip on would go. And i reckon they would look shit, maybe.Plus prob more expence.

why not get your shock shortened to the correct length?

the top triple will look silly with the bar mount there and no bars.

Hmm,shock shortened sounds costly?

And agreed bar mounts and no bars would look strange. Reckon could make an Ally plate to bolt down into lower bar mount to give top a clean finish.

Dunno, spitballing it around. ;)

Have a look for helibars they will do the trick . They come in different sizes and heights. So you'd be able to make them work

Shortening shocks is only a hard as getting the springs changed.
