Z1000 Fork Upgrade Complete

I finished the 04 ZX-6R fork installation tonight, I cant beleive how smoothly the whole operation ran, everything just bolted up like a bought one. I have to say I got all the part numbers and tips from the riderforums Z1000 section, heaps of knowledge there just like here and the zrxoa.

As a few of you also know there are several guys on the zrxoa that sell parts and accessories, well kwick, from ELS - Expensive Lightweight Stuff - had a special on Galfer Wave rotors in July only. When I just - stupidly  - asked how much I was shocked    that the price was sooo much cheaper than what I could get two fronts for out here - for a full set        .

Brakes lines are Z1000+75mm, sourced from site sponsor Superbike Supply. I just told Tim what I wanted (in the way of banjo's Z1000 m/c and ZX6 Calipers) and he did the rest.

New wheel spacers and pads came from Aitkens. Matt that I work with who builds custom bikes - he's like his own little Deus Ex Machina - from his garage, he made me the spacers and supplied the HT Caliper bolts. I dont particularly like the bolts and will source some allen head ones soon.

With the 2 bikes done, you may earn the title "Phil the forker" :kuda:

Oh yeh, should add I had the forks re-sprung and re-valved by Glenn Willing. He also managed to shorten the forks length by 10mm so not as much has to push through the clamps. One of the rebound adjusters was also broken inside the fork so he fixed that as well :kuda:

Hey Wattie, this is a road bike you know ;) :kuda: :kuda: Not an FX bike doing 37's  ;)
