Upside down eccentric chain adjuster

Postby Richo » Sat May 15, 2010 4:37 pm

Hello fellow REX owners ... Newbie Rex here ;)

Got an easy one for you ... hopefully . .

As my adjusters have been inverted to lift the tail up a tad, the markers are now no where near the indicator . .

Im assuming there is a quick n easy way to get the rim straight without pulling the old string out . . .????? . ..

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

You set that when you put the rim in before you tighten the axle ;) , then you move one side and they both move at the same time ;) :kuda:

So you can use the adjusters to set the spacing, then invert it when putting the back wheel back on. HTH

Or you just get Ohlins shocks and make them longer - lets you leave the axle in the intended position

Get about a 1 meter long piece of 90 degree angle aluminum and place it tightly fore and aft along the chain and measure each end of the rear wheel, (front and back) until it is even. Works for me as the adjustment marks are always a little off anyway. Jim Beam helps.
