info needed- z750 fork specs

Postby drewboy » Sun Apr 11, 2010 11:56 am

Hi people, looking at upgrading the forks on the Z750, Just wondering what the diameter of the USD forks from the 07-09 Z750 are in the triple clamps, i figure they are greater than the 41mm conventionals, just getting my facts straight.

By the way, anyone have any Z1000 or Z750 USD forks laying around they no longer need??

cheers

I am under the influence of a brown liquid, but will see what I can find out and post it when I sober up.

Yes but yesterday was especially special. Anyway according to my Google search the forks are 41mm. Is it time for a Jim yet? If it was me I would upgrade to something more substantial than either of the forks you mentioned. I am on a U.S. forum and many riders have converted to 636 forks on Z1000's. I don't know if they will fit on the 750, however. I'll ask and get back to yoooooooo.

It appears that the 636 forks will fit a 750 as well. I don't know the full specifics and will leave that to you to find. The 636 forks have full rebound and compression dampening and from reading the riders forum it is a fairly easy swap. http://www.riderforums.com. Create yourself a profile and do a search, there is a lot of information on how to do the swap.
