Had a bit of a moment up Mt Nebo when the rear let go with bugger all warning. Almost highsided myself off the rd into a tree
Needless to say my pace was somewhat slowed as its hard to ride with a big poo in your britches.

Anyway thanks for all the help i appreciate it :D :D

Oh one last question... recon staying away from changing profiles is a good idea?

Graeme,

Ditching the standard tyres has to be a good plan. I've been running M3s for a while now and highly recommend them, though they do overheat when trying hard on the track. Having inadvertently run a 60 profile front tyre for a (short) while, long story, I wouldn't recommend it, the tyre totally changed the geometry of the bike, in a detrimental way.

Here is a Simple Rule for all motorcycle tyres. Observe this rule when taking your bike for a ride.

RULE - IS THE TYRE BLACK AND ROUND ? DOES IT HAVE AIR IN IT ? GOOD - -LETS FUCKIN RIDE !!!

Does it have to be black? Not that I need them, but someone told me this rubber is pretty good for any bike:

....especially when you don't know where the bike has been, and they like the going rough .

It does look to have a pretty aggressive nobbly pattern, should be good in the wet.

I just got a set of Pilot Road 2's,
They are a dual compound blended tyre and stick like shit to a blanket. They reckon i will get 10,000 out of them and yet the side walls are as soft as track rubber. I would reccomend them to anyone for the road.

Err, not quite mate! Yeah they are softer on the sides than in the centre, but they aren't racetrack compound by any stretch of the imagination! The pilot road 2 has a compound similiar to the Pilot power, with a harder centre. The 2CT is the one with the supposed pilot race sides, with a pilot middle! :D

As tothe grip, yeah they are actually ok....up to a point!
