New levers for Z750

Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:53 pm

Does anyone know if the levers for the 03-06 Z1000 and the 04-06 Z750 are the same fit? I would really like to get a set of Pazzo levers, but they only list 03-06 Z1000 in their supply list. http://www.pazzoracing.com/support.html

Thanks!

Hi Anne,

Not sure if this helps:

2006 Z1000 Clutch Lever: 46092 46092-0003 LEVER-GRIP,CLUTCH
2006 Z1000 Front Brake Lever: 13236 13236-1337 LEVER-COMP,FRONT BRAKE

2006 Z750 Clutch Lever: 46092 46092-1162 LEVER-GRIP,CLUTCH
2006 Z750 Front Brake Lever: 13236 13236-1337 LEVER-COMP,FRONT BRAKE

...looks like the brake is the same, but not the clutch. Note this is the S variant of the Z750, but it should be the same.

This may be handy:

ZX600-E11 (ZZR600) (2003)
ZX600-E12 (ZZR600) (2004)

Cross-referencing the lists gives a few possibilities you can try with Pazzo, I have marked these in red (i.e. they appear in both lists).

Note: The US Ninja 650 is the ER6F, this may be your best bet.

The other ZR750-H1/2/3 is a half-faired version of the old air-cooled ZR-7 from a few years back. I don't think we got them here (we had the naked version) but if you're looking in the US for Pazzo then you may get lucky. The 2008 Versys may be a bit of an ask this early in the year.

...I just had a quick look at the Pazzo site, and it doesn't look good for the clutch lever, none of the bikes on this list are on their list

Anne, no.
The 750 used the same set up as the er6 I think it was?

One side will fit, but the other won't

You will probably find that the difference being that some of the bikes have adjustable span on the levers you know the little klicky spool on the lever that you adjust  I have done the conversion on the nine on the clutch lever  and it's a lot better with the adjustable,(the brake already had the adjuster) but it was a bit of friggen around to get the lever off a zzr250 with the adjustment to work
So the new levers might work but might have to get some parts from the wreckers  to suit the bike
Or wait till they the manufacturers develop parts to suit ;)
