ZRX11 vs ZRX12

Hey guys

This is just idle thinking, is there much of a difference between the ZRX11 and the ZRX12 other than the capacity? Improved suspension? Reduced weight? I prefer to the colour on the 11, the new one in that striking lime green is a bit much for me.

There are a lot more colour variations in the 12 than the 11, then again they have been making 12's since 01 and only made the 11 for a few years (99-00).

I have ridden both and I dont think that there is that much difference other than about 10hp stock. The 12 does have different goemetry, the head stem angle is different and the swingarm is a different shape. The suspension also has slightly different valving but the bike will handle soooooooo much better if you toss them for something good and get the forks sorted. Hey, as an example I could keep Marty and Wattie in sight on the way home from the island while carrying HEAPS of gear - nuff said

The gearing is also different due to the extra grunt of the 12 engine.

Get a clean example of either and you'll be very happy.

BTW, I reckon the 03-05's in the metalic green, like Matt Chans and mine, are the pick of the 12's along with the 08, love that paint but prefer the silver swingarm of the earlier models.
