Marques in the Park 2011 - Classic Cars.

Held today for the 9th year, Marques in the Park is a car show. But one that focuses on classics - old hot-rods, some veteran and vintage stuff, classic Pommie, Yank and Aussie iron, Italian thoroughbreds and riceburners of all types. Just about every type of special interest vehicle you could think of, was featured here today in Canberra.
Pictures tell a thousand words, so here is a selection of some of the rigs on display today......there were well over 500 cars....
Here are some photos from the gig today. I have not seen a better collection of vehicles ever. Almost without exception, ever car/rod/classic there, was immaculate. 99% of them were also driven there ( only spotted maybe 1/2 dozen car trailers at the most, would easily have been 500 vehicles there.)
We may as well start with the bikes  - a few Hogs there, some old British stuff - and 3 really nice Jap stinkwheels ...
Mick Gentleman's recently restored DT175. Immaculate.

RD350A Yamaha. Love that paint scheme

The mighty 250/3.

Onto the vehicles - I can recall a few details from some but not all. There was an incredible selection, I really only picked out those which appealed to me ( so no FPV XR8's or late model Crummydores or anything like that) - these are all *legitimate* classics.....
Corvette - maybe mid-70's vintage ?

SS Camaro

??

Morris Minor . Cool as phuck

Something large & very British

late-model MG

XK140 Jaguar.

E-type Jaguar

FJ Holden. Pity it was tucked right away back in the trees.....

HR

Another HR - incredibly good condition

Mini

Chevrolet Corsair - these are a rare bird.

Another nice Humpy
