Eric & Doug is a story about a sider rider called Doug and his cranky sidecar-passenger,Eric the koala. Legends in their time - 30+ years ago. This was a fortnightly comic strip in REVS Motorcycle News, and you just don't see cartoons like this anymore !!!

In order to truly appreciate the stories of these 2, you really have to spend a minute or 2 on each frame - and digest the magnificent artistic talent of Snr Silvestro, the artist behind the drawings.......and really look into the pictures - there is always something else going on apart from the basic stuff out the front......

Here we go !!

Ah, Eric and Douglas. Fred Gassit on steroids and so much funnier. Incidentally, the character depicted in the above cartoon bears a "slight" resemblance to Bernie Summers who was working for REVS back then (he probably doesn't want to be reminded)

would that have been Bummers or Mike Esdaile ? I always thought that the bearded guy with the glasses was always a rip-off of Esdaile. Some of the characters that Silvestro used to draw as background characters, were all well-known in the bike trade in some respect. He also does a good Malcolm Fraser !!

OK here is another one in the series - this is going to end up being one long thread...... :P :P
