Some idiots just never learn - check out this pile of vomit that has recently been listed on ebay, with a starting bid of $35k, and reserve not yet met !!! hahaahahah pmsl, this nob-jockey fucktard probably has a reserve of $40k or maybe even more !!

I sent him a question, and asked him why he was ripping himself off with that price - after all, an original KZ1000 ( so its a US import in the first place ) with original Stone parts - well I told him he must have left a '1' out before the '35' bit - the bike would have to be worth a minimum of $135,000 ! At the very *least* !!! I mean - it makes 120bhp FFS !!! would be the fastest Z1000 on the planet with about 140-odd at the crank !!!!

I have never seen a more putrid pile of crap than this piece of shit. A fuckin' shitbox '77 Z1000, with a bile-inducing paint job that looks like something on my 8 year-old daughter's pushbike !!! The bit about the 'Original fairing off a Stone bike' is the icing on the cake really - its just a replica bikini fairing worth about $90 from any bike shop !

I really hope that nobody here ever buys a Z without checking the legitimacy in the first place.

This bike, at a reserve of $10k, is a lot closer to the mark.....but there are still some dodgy details included....

*Smooth bore carbs* - yeh well they must be sitting in the fucking shed, because the carbs on that bike in the photos are just bog-stock Z1B carbs. Nothing special or *smooth bore* about them at all.

*super lightweight racing brake discs* - give me a break (BOOM BOOM) - these are not super or lightweight or racing or any other over-the-top descriptive bullshit. They are bog-stock 6-bolt undrilled Kawasaki rotors.

Yes, it does have different calipers - Performance calipers, which work good on Harley's only because OEM HD brakes are totally shithouse. Stock Kawasaki single-sliding calipers can be set up better than these shocking US-custom calipers, which are all *show* and very little *go*.

The forks don't have the OEM reflector fitted to the legs, they have the inset which is found on overseas market bikes - so this baby is probably another US-import which has been tarted up with a rattle-can paintjob and a couple of coats of clear.

$10k is what you would pay for a good STOCK Z1B. Not some modified bucket that has no real appeal other than some untasteful bling.

What would it be worth seriously? $3-5k maybe? I know of two Z1000s around here that were not much worse condition that were sold for a carton of piss.

Hi nightrider, In 1975 Kawasaki sent 2 models of the KZ1000 to Australia. This is one of them. The other I believe is in parts in Melbourne with no motor. I purchased it from the shopowner in 75 and first registered it in 1976. It has a manual to specify the date of manufacture. In 1977 the rest were released. Maybe he should check the fucking engine number FFS .... In his own photos......it is in fact KZT00AE008856. Yes indeed, this was engine number 8856, but I am *sure* it was *definitely* one of the very first 2 that magically landed in Australia almost 2 years before Kawsaki started using the KZT00-engine prefix on the production line !!!! and that folks is a global production line that sure as hell didn't throw in almost 10,000 Z1000 motors in the middle of 19 seventy-fucking-five !!

I am now waiting for the reply to my next message, where I am sure this bike is magically going to become Elvis's long-lost bad-ass mofo Z900 !!!
