Legend stuff Gos,
Mate, I saw the Syndicate racing and loved it years (decades) ago, brings back memories of the sound it used to make with its cobbled up looking exhaust., would be good to see it up against some of the current stuff.
Started searching through the old mags today, I'll see what I can come up with.
Yeah standardard MK11 headers and collector, like you, probably no where else to store them atm, tank seat combo by Kent Miklenda (Canberra once), paintwork mine.
Phantoms I did'nt pay for, average 2-3000k per rear, 4k for front.

Cheers

Tony

WOW - I knew Kent waaaay back in the early 80's !!! My old 750 triple has bodywork that he bought for it back in the late 70's, to the best of my knowledge. It was a 'Tiger' kit for a H2, I still have most of it - the tailpiece is the one I currently use on the Black Pearl.

I first met Kent coming back from Bathurst, we were stopped at Cowra to get some tucker, and he rode in with some mates, back then he was on his old Z1000 with the trick seat/tank, he used to call it 'Shadowfax' - it was something else again that bike........

thats not the same bodywork you have there is it ???  it looks similiar.........

Gos,
Got your email, and yes it is an old Shadowfax replica but in the team "battle" colours, I used to live about 5 mins from Kent's parents place in Cook. I also think I saw your old H2 750 or the glasswork for it at his place, at that time I had 2 x H2's, an H1C, an S2 350, a 620cc Honda 500/4, as well as the Z, used to use the same plates for most of them to cut down rego cost, S2 was bright orange with full fairing and single seat.
Cheers

Are you sure that's Crosby, mate ? I don't think I've ever seen a photo of him before without a beer in his hand :)

Cheers,
Brian

Yeah greenman 43, rare pics indeed, I had some work on my Z done years ago by Ross Hannan, Cros was often there and it was indeed a rare sight. Can't hold this against him though, Z riding legend that he was.

When I was a young bloke in NZ, I used to have a copy of a Suzuki newsletter, which included a small article on Croz. Apparently we was 'testing' a jetski, and they had a couple of pics ; one of him falling off, and a second with with a bare arse showing as his swimmers had been dragged down - too funny, and so in keeping with the public persona.

Cheers,
Brian

Hey, limegreen, we have to get together sometime.

The Shadowfax Kawasaki and Kent Miklenda did you say??? I was president of CRRC when Kent was racing the thing and saw it race most of its races (sadly not the last one when Kent binned it at Bathurst). Years later, like I mean about 10 years ago, I had a call from Kent out of the blue. He said he had the bike and did I want it? It had been converted back to road use and the engine had dropped a valve. It was complete except for the bodywork, tank, etc, though in pieces. He said he wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate its history, otherwise it was going to go to the tip.
So, it's in my back shed if you want to know!! (although come to think of it now, I think you might know that already)

I was a member of the CRRC back in 1988/89.....that may have been a few years after you were El Prez....

Are you still located in ACT ? It would be great to get this old Z up and running again......

On your knees Biatch !!

from the description given by fezzick, it sounds like all the good bits, the ones that made it *so* recognisable back in the day....are now long gone. But - a bit of engine work....a p-p-p piece from here and a p-p-p piece from there.....
