Starter motor noise

Back again! When I start the beast up it makes a "chicken like squawk" when I back of on the starter button? This has got progressively worse over time where its now become novelty to other non-Kawasaki z650 owners. Would a starter kit fix this or just get a reconditioned one? Cheers guys.

its pretty common on these models........unless the starter clutch fails, I wouldn't worry about the squawk too much......
