Gpz 550 anti dive

Postby Denners » Sun Aug 02, 2015 6:00 pm

Can anybody help me? I am doing up a gpz 550 and have two problems to solve. First problem, the front fork anti dive units are leaking. Does anywhere sell after market seal kits for these? I have found seal kits on a pommie website for gpz 500 anti dive units , not sure if these will be the same?? Second problem, I have bought a new sealed battery for the bike, the old battery had a low electrolyte level sensor fitted wired to the bikes warning system.Does anybody know how to modify wiring or a magic trick to stop the warning light blinking with the new battery fitted ie with the sensor no longer needed?
Any advice/help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Mark

Hi Mark,
i had a similar problem re battery warning light with my GPZ750, I cut off the sender and put an eyelet on the wire then connected it to my battery...no more blinking light. been that way for years now without any drama
Cant recall if it was the +ve or -ve terminal but can check it out tomorrow for you, no worries.
PM me your mobile and Ill send you a pic

cheers
