Looks like she is in good nick Wilbur 8) but I am a bit old fashion and like to see the older bikes in original colours but you can park it my shed when you get sick of it :lol:

Looks sweet. That blue is period for Kawasakis of that time too.
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Looks great Wilbur - are you still running the original injection ? If you have any issues with this bike just sing out, I have one of these in the stable and have spent a fair bit of time sorting out EFI/DFI issues for early Zeds and GPz's.

It looks a lot shinier than any stock kwakka I can remember from back then :lol: - but the Z1000J did come out in a blue version.....I can't think of too many others that did ?

I'm guessing this is where the American (I want!) blue paint scheme came from for the ZRX:

sure is. photo I saved off the net a while ago. I save every blue zrx pic I find coz I wanna paint mine blue. This was close

Here is an aussie-spec 1000J from back in the day. I am pretty sure that when REVS first road-tested the J back in early 1981 - the bike on the cover was a blue one just like this :kuda:

my was blue when i got it was missing the right side cover i got one its get repainted i gave them the left one to match it up and i put new led blinkers on it the other ones were stuffed i dont mind spending a little bit on as i got the bike for free
