Just in the process of buying a 1983 gpz 1100 and i am on the lookout for a set off original header pipes and exhaust in good condition for this bike if anybody can help.

very very hard to find these in good nick mate - the black chrome OEM finish was only good for a few years at best before it started to go *off*.....and I haven't seen a good set of black chrome pipes for many a year now.....

not sure if you can get the black chrome finish replicated anywhere ? If you could, then a set of headers from any of the 1100 motors will do the job.

best bet would be looking to the US to find some of these - US ebay motors is a good start.

I'm actually going through this process at the moment for the Gpz 900r.. I was told that precision plating in Burwood VIC
(03) 9888 8322 can do it...I called & they are not taking any private jobs on until mid January.... so if I find an alternate contact I will get back to you
