Recently my wife and i had our first child . my wife told me the bike had to go as riding was not safe. the thing is ive advertised it on bike sales and ebay but most of the potential buyers are learners dont want to pay the $2200 im asking because the bike is a 1985 model they dont understand that this bike is a fairly rare bike as it is the first of the ninja models not just a old banger so they dont appreciate that the bike is prob worth more than my asking price. would anybody know a place i could off load my kawa?

I sold one of them for $2,000 in 1993, I think mine was a 1986 model though.... anyway can't imagine they have gone up in price, unless they are a colectors bike, in which case you should tell the misses it's an investment and keep it

seriously though, that bike has the old school looks which doesn't appeal to the youngens of today. You will struggle to sell it to a newbie with all the later model, full fairing sporty looking 250's around for similar money. The old supply and demand storey. Drop your price or keep it.... oh and welcome to the club.
