GPX 250 problem

ok i brought my bike in pieces, put her together replacing parts as needed and getting the forks, rear shock etc recon'd, it doesnt have a side switch will that stop rwc?, i couldnt get parts for the airbox so i put pods on it how do i tune the carbies for work with pods?

side switch shouldnt be a problem.... i had a blue slip done up here in nsw and didnt have a problem

how do i tune my carbies tho? i got pods on it now and i hope that will allowed thru rwc...

yeah know about how everything has to be standard on the thing but that shouldnt be a problem, but again thats down here in nsw

all good, mine had a zzr radiator, rear suspension, & water pump...lol

I'd suggest on a dyno with an AF probe is the only way you'll really get it right. The pods will probably flow more air than the original airbox but you wont know for usre until you have a go and actually measure the AF ratio. I also suspect a good mechanic (one knowledgeable about bikes) will fail you for not having a side-stand cutout switch.

The Ninja 250 is the GPX250R, they didn't get the ZZR250 in the US, this one was only available in Canada.

As far as I am aware the GPX250 engine and the ZZR250 engine are EXACTLY the same engine.

I'm pretty sure they'd pickup the sidestand issue here, it's a safety thing after all. IMHO although they do seem to stuff up pretty easily you shouldn't bridge it out.

well my bike starts and runs without it so is that bad? i didnt touch any wiring from that area since i got it i just had to connect the neutral switch up

Mate it's all good until you go around your first left-hander with the stand down.

And don't tell me you'll always remember...you'd think you'd remember a disk lock on your front wheel and I don't always remember (which is why I have a curly reminder cord).
