The speed light is a semi standard fitment due to the japanese market & that pretty much being their national speed limit, or so i am told.
[edit] the easiest way to fix the light coming on is with a peice of black electrical tape[/edit]

woohoo at least I'm not the only person with this speed light....was starting to think I was a bit strange....lol

i have the same speed light on me 87, it is something to do with some of the imported ones... they are dedicated l's bikes so asoon as you go over 80ks it will come on. nothing real bad just do what i do, and ignore it.. on the other gpx250's it is replaced with the oil light i think, which is on our tacho.
