I wish my rear tyre still looked like that after 15,000 kays.
It's still got a few thousand kays left on it by my standards.

i had the arrowmax on mine and they were ok. But then again i didn't like 250's, cos they were too light and unstable.

rofl...same old gt301s to replace 'em (not one tyre retailer in newcastle can think of anything else for the gpx250!)...
hmm when I think of it 15000 is not too bad for the price, fitted for under 270
the worst is when it rains (always ride no matter the weather), i'm sliding the back wheel around roundabouts like a dirt bike...not a pleasant feeling...

15000 is pretty good - I think I got around that on the old GPX.
However, $270 seems a bit steep. From memory the 301 only cost me about $160 for the tyre for a rear ($100 for the front) plus about $20 fitting - that's a $100 difference.
Unless you're getting both front and rear done I'd be calling for some other quotes.

I loved the GPX250 because it was light - mine never seemed to unstable cept in the wet.
Extremely flickable around the twisties and at the track.
