No worries bear, bought it new in 83,one of the 1st in the country.
It sat dormant for 8 or so years and started to get a bit untidy so decided to pull her down completely and freshen it up.
2packed the frame, tins and associated bits and rebuilt the top end.

After joining 750turbo.com,added a few mods,BOV,adjustable FPR,intercooler, liquid filled boost gauge, boost controller, put it in race mode and fitted a K&N filter straight on to the turbo, removed the original plastic air duct and have a straight through exhaust.

All these mods benefit the longevity of these rockets and make them go harder.

A couple of guy's on the pommy forum have managed to extract over 200mph runs on these old things.

Yes i can see you have put in the hard yards and it shows with the final product 8) but as for all these mods they are over my head with me being a amature with bikes but i am happy to put it back together the way it came out, thats just me but every body has their own ambitions with their dream machines

Bear I have no problem with you wanting to keep your bike stock, and good on you for that. 8)

When it comes to amature motorcycle mods don't worry and let me assure you I'm no genius when it comes to that ;)

However I hope that Honda turbo does the job dontknow.gif may be you would have been better of with a Garrett GT15, 17 or 20.

Good luck,catch you later.

I did mention Honda turbo, but don't really know what that one came off to be honest.

But can tell you the exhaust flange looks pretty similar to the kawa 1.

A aussie bloke from turbo forum offered me a rebuilt kawa HT10 turbo for $500,but never got back to me. :(
Could look into that further if you like.

OK mate I understand,

I'm sure that that turbo will work fine, its just a matter of matching the exhaust flange to the turbo flange.

Just remember that turbo bikes are reasonably simple things, the exhaust gas spins the turbo and then forces air into the plenum "air box"through the injectors to the motor. :?

Have you seen the 750turbo.com site ? Don't be afraid to join up,there's heaps of advise there to be had. :D

thats the best way to start anything mate - just take your time and keep reading all the info you can find......then read it again. That turbo site is gold for any info you will be looking for.....while you are sorting stuff out for the turbo, you can start on all the simple things on the bike that will need sorting out anyway.......wheel bearings, changing all the fluids etc - greasing up pivot points for the suspension linkages, detailing all the small bits......there is a shitload of stuff you can do for little expense - just a lot of elbow grease .... ;)
