Finally managed to get the front sprocket nut off on Saturday and put the new 16 tooth sprocket on there. It was worth doing because it takes the edge of the tall first gear, but keeping the front wheel on the ground is more of a challenge now

The trick to getting the sprocket nut off is using a 27mm socket that is a simple hexagonal shape like those used for rattle guns, as opposed to the regular ones you get in a standard socket set. The standard ones just end up stripping the already rounded corners off the nut. Get a big bloody lever on your socket spanner and wait for the almighty crack as the nut unlocks  then the rest is easy. You need to drop the rear wheel to get enough slack in the chain too.

Now I just need to get those new tyres fitted

...oh yeah, now I've just got to start saving again for a speedohealer after spending my money on a compressor

MotoFX are the only people in Aus. that I know of who supply them and they are flogging them for $150. The only other ones I found on ebay were in pommy land for about the same money plus postage.
