Handle bar risers

Postby ZZRGIRL » Tue Feb 23, 2016 12:26 pm

Hi , has anyone put handlebar risers on their zzr? If so what year is your bike and where did you get your risers from? I have a 2001 600 and I would like to take some pressure off my lower back wrists I would love to able to sit up straighter just a little bit more. I'm in a huge amount of pain just abit of discomfort if I cant find something I will just have to harden up abit more cos I'm not ready just yet to part with my zzr. ahahahahah

I got some expensive but very good ones from Web!ke for my 11. I'm loving them. Had a quick look on there and didn't see any for the 6 tho?

Not sure that I've helped any...

Yeah they are great bikes to ride - super smooth 14000 redline, but happy enough to tootle along under 3000. Not the fastest, or the best through the twistys, in fact not the anything-est, but it does everything bloody well!

Can you tell I miss mine?

Rego disc holder. 'Bahk in Afrikah' [/Merril Streep voice] we has paper rego discs - easy to stick on the inside of the car windscreen, used a (waterproof) metal holder with window on bikes.

Of course you noticed the ZX6R swingarm with underslung caliper?!

I use Genmars on my ZZR1200. They make it just that much more comfortable. Not cheap though.
Check that you don't need a longer clutch cable.
Don't ride as if you own the road.......
Ride as if you own the bike!

Hi Billwest, yes I bought myself some Genmars last week from the U.S. so I hope they will be here in time before I ride to Dubbo in a couple of weeks, and yes cost me plenty so I do hope I notice a difference . :)

You will! As long as you didn't go too small - I've seen risers that lift ~10mm and I think that you'd hardly notice. Mine are 30 or 33mm (can't remember) and they are super!

Brettzzr mine are 1 inch , I helped my hubby fit them last night so hopefully I get to test them out tonight. I would add a photo but I'm not sure how I click on the Img icon but it doesn't direct me to my photos.

You'll love em!

Pics have to be "hosted" on the net first - you cannot just post them up from your drive.
