if I were to put together a fully working NOS setup on a B model ZX-9R,
would anyone pay a decent price for it?
In a word, no.
1. Chances are the installation will be a custom fit (at least in ths country) and, depending on whether you do it yourself, get the ricer shop down the road to do it or drop it by Ron Solomon's, it will take either a long time, a very long time, or (relatively speaking) fucking forever, and it will cost between 20% and 40% of what a stock-ish B-model ZX9 is worth.
2. You'll recover, maybe, 10% of the cost of the installation in the sale price of the bike.
3. By using NOS as a selling point, you'll drive away the sorts of secondhand bike buyers to whom a 10-year-old, comfy sumo sportsbike normally appeals while failing to attract the attention of people who'd be prepared to consider that sort of performance mod, but who also tend to be sufficiently attention-deficient to fail to fathom that, prior to the appearance of the R1 and the Hayabusa, bikes other than CBR250RR's used to exist.
