ZZR600 - set the clock

Postby jackdaniel » Tue Feb 26, 2013 1:34 pm

Guys,

Does anyone out there have the owners manual for an E series ZZR600, and can scan and send me the page(s) on how to set the clock.

Ive tried all the ususl 'hold the buttos down' combinations I can think of, and cant get it to do anything (and cant find the owners manual on line.....hint, hint)

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

From the manual

To adjust the time follow this procedure:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
2. Push the "M" button to adjust the minute and the "H" button to adjust the hour.

NOTE
Pushing the button momentarily advances the hour or minute step by step. Pushing and holding the button advances the hour or minute continuously

Thanks Daisy, I'll give that a go (although I'm pretty sure I gave tried that theory already, so I might have a problem..... :( )

Mel - thanks for that link - I have been looking for that :kuda:

Have not looked up the clock setting procedure, but I'm thinking this might help?

(-&

EDIT: Oops no - the clock setting procedure isn't covered - but download it anyway - it's a 'Workshop Manual' for the bike.

If nothing else works you may have to dismantle it. I have one here somewhere that doesn't set because the little legs that go between the clock circuit board and the outside housing are missing, so pressing the buttons does nothing even though the clock does work.

Had a similar problem with my 1100. Then buttons were not aligned.

When I pulled it apart and put it back together, ensuring everything lined up, Presto!!! It worked

Cheers

Thanks all. :kuda:

Problem fixed. The buttons just needed a "firm" push (with the blunt end of a pencil - finger wasnt enough....)

I cant see the point in dismantling the dash just to fix the clock buttons, but if its ever out it will get done.
