ZZR250 shock adjustment??

Postby Nick87 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 2:44 pm

Hi all,

Im new to the forum and bikes as well. Just picked up my first bike, a 95 ZZR250 and have notice when going up my driveway at home it seems and sounds like the rear shock is bottoming out. Im not a small bloke by any stretch, ive seen a couple of threads about adjusting the preload on the rear shock to compensate for the extra kg's which leads me to my first question. How hard is the shock to adjust on the bike? and how much adjustment is in it? I'm north of 100kg and dont want to spend mega $$ on the ZZR as ill be looking to move on after im off my P's.

Cheers

Nick

check out this site

its cheaper than going to a suspension specialist. I used an EX500 rear shock in a gpx250 and it worked brilliantly.
Off the top of my head the zzr,gpx and ninja 250's are all EX250's. So the EX500 shock will fit. Just buy a newer one if possible.
