last night i attacked my front rim with paint stripper to get the clear coat off the alloy as it was chipped /peeling then hit it with autosoul on the dremil with a buff pad and then a final hand polish with the same autosoul.

come up a treat with a very high shine, i left the centre of the rims grey and just polished the edges, a little tip is to use 100mph tape to mask the centre instead of masking tape as it is stickier and the paint stripper doesnt bleed through.

just the back rim to do now :kuda:

wheels are now finished.

while polishing the wheels i noticed that before the stock exhaust splits into 2 it has a flange so it can be unbolted from the headers, so my question is is this standard or has it been modified as my understanding is the zzr1100 exhaust is a one peice. i have looked at photo's of a standard system and that one didn't seem to have a flange.

i have now realised that it isn't going to be a problem to make a flanged link pipe and can of my choice and have a 4into1 that can easily be changed back to standard if needed without a problem or need of a whole new system. :kuda:

can any other zzr owners confirm if this flange is standard just for curiosity purposes.

thanks

Didn't have to check. I know its one piece because it was bent by about 20mm when we bought it and it was a right bastard to get straight. I was all set to buy a set of Staintunes for it, but HM was happy to keep the stock ballasts.

ok so got the bike dyno éd today, with the new exhuast on and without nothing done to the carbys it made 133rwhp an 90 on the torque side, after k&n an dynojet kit was in an tuned it made 138.9rwhp an 104.6 on the torque side of things.   ( have no idea if it makes any difference at all but thats with no air bieng blown into the ram air???)

i don't think thats to bad an was pretty happy with that for a 20yr old bike with 90,xxxkm on the clock.
engine is stock apart from exhuast and air filter.

will get the camera from my brother that he failed to return an take a pic of dyno sheet.

i have to say that neville lush from neville lush racing is a stand up guy, service was second to none an gave a heap of free advice relating to little tricks he learn't while racing a 11 engine in a sidecar outfit.
i will definatley recomend him an use him again. thanks nev :kuda:

Sounds about right... around 140 is the mark... mine made 145 a few years ago, but had a lot less Ks on it, 104 nm sounds pretty ok to
