Just got a 92 ZZR250

Howdie!
I just got my first bike! A dark purple 92 zzr 250!
She needs a little work; new stoppers and a good service as she has been sitting for a while, and on the drive home she fell over in the trailer and broke an indicator and the fairing around the mirror.... (Don’t trust the knots of a guy who just sold you a bike, no matter how excited you are to get her home, knots slip....)
But besides that, she is perfect!!
Do you guys know where I should go to get a new indicator? Also, if I fix the fairings myself do you reckon I'll get a RWC?
I wanna get her road worthy, and then I'll get some shiny new fairings, and have an even better looking beastie!
:D
Thanks!!

Mate, get an aftermarket indicator, cheapest I found was at Eastern Motorcycle Wreckers for $40

I had 3 complete break offs on the headlight fairing...bonded it all back together with Q Bond and got my roadworthy, no issues (1 month ago, so recent info)

Cheers

'Shiny new fairings' sounds expensive, money which may be better off spent on things like petrol and gear. Especially true as this is your first bike and you may have a little oopsie or two of your own if you get my drift. ;)

Hey Hey!
I got an indicator off the wreckers in Heidleberg! 45 bucks, but they sent it to me no worries!
Happy days!
And I've just gibreglassed my farings back together! Much Much cheaper than shiny new fairings, a bit of paint and polish and she will be shiny as by next week!
Another question,
What is a the normal rev at idle for my bike, with the choke off she still revs at about 4.5 grand, I've cleaned the carbs, and installed an inline fuel filter (my tanks chockas full of rust) but she sounds like she is straining!
Any thoughts?!
