most mechanics wont touch shocks as i have found out. I dont think i know how a 250 shocker operates, shouldnt be much different to bigger bikes.

I'm going for a ride to suspensions r us on saturday morning, if ur interested come and have a chat to the bloke there and see what he says.

I found him to be very honest and geniuen.

Thats fair.

G'day, if you can get a new shock you can replace it yourself, its piss easy. Take off the back wheel, remove the bottom bolt on the tie rod arms(swing arm to rocker) and swing clear, let swing arm down, unbolt/remove shock. Reverse the steps to re-install. Take note of which holes on the rocker the shock and tie rods go into. Good luck, not that you'll need it. 8)

if you have an ebay account, look for a seller named proven_suspension. These guys are the people that bought out all the koni shock gear when they stopped making bike stuff (i think) and sell it under the ikon label instead. They have ebay auctions for heaps of stuff (dirt cheap if you find them at the right time too, i got my shock for $120, rrp for 3x that at least!) (or look at http://www.proven.com.au for prices.)
