ZZR250 possibly buying

Hey guys,

My mate at TAFE told me he has a 1991 Kawasaki ZZR250 for sale... he wants $900 dollars for it...but theres no way im paying that much for it... why you may ask? for the following reasons:

-No battery
-Brake/Clutch handles need replacing
-Fuel tank has dents
-The bike has been dropped in stationary position and it ran into something (front fender cracked)
-Fairings are scratched/cracked
-Needs new paint job/cracked paint
-No oil filter and missing the spring
-Seat needs to be reupholstered
-Dont know if the engine runs ( MAIN PART OF COURSE!!!)
-No front glass
-Carby been removed because of some problem with it.

Now he tells me that when he tried starting it it would turn over but the engine would die because it would flood itself, dont know what its about thought.

How much do you guys reckon this bike is worth? (no $50 jokes lol  )

im gonna say at first $200 and if he dont like it then ill raise the price a bit to $250-400 (400 is my final price)

*EDIT* forgot to mention its a Ninja, well so the fairings say anyway =S

Sounds like a real headache. Save your dollars a bit longer and go buy something that doesn't need any work.

i told you not to bother with it.
And by the sounds of this post it needs more work than what you had originally told me. If you want, buy it so i can have it for parts, but thats all its good for. :D
