2006 zzr 250 battery

Hi, its my first post here!!!! I've recently bought a 2006 zzr 250 with only 6000km on it, everything on it is original no damage ect. I'm getting ready to re register it as it hasn't been on the road since 2008.

I need to replace the battery, I've tested the original and it won't hold charge. I've searched the net trying to find the right type but everything listed only spec'd for 80-90's model. Could some one please recomend a battery for a 2006? I'm on a bit of a budget so the cheaper the better.

hi mate, welcome, i know its not really any help but have you tried to get the part number off the old battery and then searching the net or ring around for the cheapest option??

Pretty sure that the zzr was unchanged from the late 90s to the 00s, so what ever rating you find for those models would suffice for yours.

come to think of it,i don't think they ever changed the zzr250...

haha... not quite, there were 2 different battery sizes used. i don't know if it varies by country or other factors, but i do know that some zzr 250s of certains years have a smaller battery.

get the number off the old battery. even if you get the "wrong" one it goes in the same place and probably fits anyway.

Take you old battery to Battery World, they'll probably have the right battery and will be cheaper than elsewhere
