ZXR Shift Lever Throw

Postby momomags » Mon Jun 20, 2005 3:22 pm

Hi Guys

I like to ride with my feet a little higher (further back) on the pegs than is required to let me shift gears without moving my foot forward again..
im talking prob a cm..
Sometimes i get neutral when upshifting first to second..
Is there a way of bringing the lever back a little and possibly reducing the upward travel of the lever at the same time without going aftermarket??

Rearsets might be your only option unless you want to go cutting and welding. They might do the trick and still allow you to have your feet in the right spot. Perhaps look around a wreckers for something off a different model also

For missing up and down shifts, try adjusting your technique slightly. Make sure you keep pressure on the gear lever until after you have fully released the clutch. If you haven't quite gone into gear this should force it as you let the clutch out. Doesn't do any damage to the bike and doesn't slow down your shifts either.
