zx10r Test Ride

Postby mfzx6r » Fri May 07, 2004 11:00 am

I guy I work with came in today and he told me he went for a test ride on the zx10r.
He liked it alot and was very impressed.
What got me thinking was that he said that they had 4 zx10r's on the floor
and one was the Blue one.
They had Black,Green, Orange and Blue
I didn't think we got the Blue here and I had my doubts about the Orange.
But they're there, so maybe Kawasaki has bent from pressure and now
is bringing all the colours.
Anyway I'm going in next chance to go for a ride.
They're at Race Replica
Peter Stevens and Cosways dont have a zx10r test bike

The first one I saw in real life (before the official unveiling) was an orange one, and then the only one I've seen on the road was an orange one as well. Good to hear about the blue ones...it's the only colour to have... :P

The black one has the shittiest paint i've ever seen. The green one should have a gold metal flake thru it, because the basic green is a bit average. The orange one is fantastic, but everyone will have them.....

And according to Kawasaki, and my local bike shop, the colours are STILL:

Lime Green
Metallic Spark Black
Pearl Blazing Orange

I'll be suprised if someone has a blue one. Unless it's a special imprt job? Or they painted it themselves?? Find out and let us know.

I've seen the black one and they dont look too bad.

Quite nice.

I'm more into every other color except the green. I know its a kwaka trademark but i'd rather a black.

I wouldn't mind a ZX10R. 135KW and its only 170kg.

My commodore has that much power and it 1500kg if not more.

LETHAL I TELL YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still want one................... :supz:

I have a 2004 Kawasaki brochure... a blue is not listed for the '10
but is for the '6 and '6RR and 12r
I checked the Kawasaki Oz website...no blue shown....

based on the blues on the other models that I saw at the weekend, I would definitely agree...in fact I think the Kawasaki "Blue" on the
ZX6 is very good, better than the Orange on the zx10r , I reckon

green, spleen....

If blue is so bad, why are you trying to make the green look better with blue bits? You don't see me putting green bits on a blue bike!! :P

I WAS AT FLOYD , PARKS KAWASAKI A FEW WEEKS AGO
THEY HAVE ALL 3 COLOURS
GREEN BLACK AND ORANGE
I LIKED THE ORANGE BUT I WOULD BUY THE BLACK
ALSO TOOK 1 FOR A RIDE AND I CAN SAY THAT I WAS IMPRESSED
MY 1 BIG COMPLAINT IS THAT THE TACO IS VERY HARD TO READ
OTHER THAN THAT NICE

A few weeks back i was at my local dealer Midtown Kawasaki here in Brisbane and they had a black zx10 in the showroom as well as an orange demo out front. Also had an 04 zx6r (blue). Very Nice!
I didn't take the bike for a testride but i had a sit on it and holy fark it felt small and potentially lethal

Question for those that have ridden one.

Did you get out of 1st gear?
