If The Big K are going to remarket an old ZX-6R as the 2005 ZZR600, then this may be the answer for me, along with the front dropped a bit. As they fit a ZX-6R from '95-'04 they should suit the '05 ZZR-600 just fine!

However, HTF do they work and where do they go???

Mick, these are a fairly simple mod.
Their correct name is a tie-rod, and look this OOO---------O
They tie the swing arm to the rocker arm. The rocker arm connects the shock to the main frame.
Using my make shift picture above, the blue hole is used for each setting.
Blue and violet is standard hieght, blue and orange is 1 1/2" lower, and the blue and red is a whole 3" lower.
This allows the swing arm/wheel to move higher before the shock moves at all.
Simply winding tension off the spring will allow the wheel to move the same, but the shock looses travel and can lead to bottoming out, especially on a comfortably sprung bike.
These do work well, but you might consider trimming off the last loop if you choose not to use it. This will avoid any fairing clearance issues etc... and will look a little neater.
Keep in mind that the front needs to be lowered atleast the same amount to maintain favourable geometry and handling. The side stand will also need shortening. No big hassle, I could do it for you or Mario could probably oblige aswell . We are both pretty local.

Ratmick You're a bloody genius, I'm asuming these are the dogbones someone else referred too in another post. Top find Mate. I see they also sell an Adjustable stand - too easy.
That should get the "Lovely n talented" Janelle's backside on the Red 02 ZX6R she wants.

your right on the money there matty.

I was going to get these for my ZX6R but if they are not used properly they can screw your bike so make sure they installed correctly and the forks are lowered to compensate for the lowering of the rear end.

She told me she was thinking about getting a bike, and I told her to go the cruiser option, or just forget it...

I knew a girl in the Army who was well under 5", I was taller than her by a head. Now THAT'S short

She had dinky little feet as well, size 1, smallest adult feet I have ever seen

...and I'm game to shake my shortass if you are...

I'm 5"1 or 158cm's if you prefer and I have serious height issues! That's why I considered the lowering links for my bike but I have been told that they are not a good idea at all. My bike is lowered an inch at the rear and the forks and I have had the seat hacked away but I am still on my tippie toes. Sucks. They should make bikes for little people (No Pocket Bike puns)

Karen, the ZZR600 was pretty good height wise for me though. Those buggers are heavy though
