Short answer, no, it wouldn't be a better street bike than the standard one; but, it would make a way better race bike.

Good luck, only 20 coming to AUS, race reams get first dibs & they've been taking deposits since November.

Agreed with Nelso, possibly not a better road bike, def a better race bike. But may be a good long term investment - especially with the race pack added

Well Kawasaki told everybody 50 only H2 pre order only, next thing another 25 turn up. Then theres a 2016 model a 2017 model and a 2017 LIMITED carbon model. So limited clearly has a different meaning to Kawasaki.Maybe its lost in the translation.Dont get me wrong I got one of the first models and the only other bike that has the green frame with the plain mirror paint is the first H2R.Still sticking with my original line if you want one get one don't worry about investment etc etc, My H2 is a street bike its done 19,200 ks JUST DO IT. ;)

I am not looking at it as an investment, it will replace my 2015 10 that gets ridden to work weekends and a long runs out west.

That's a question that I have asked many a mate that have purchased bikes as "investments", what would the return need to be to be classified as an investment and over what time frame?

Don't get me wrong, I think that you should grab one if you have the opportunity, they sound like an awesome bike. :D

I'm saying Nah...

Yes its limited. but its advantages are track based. not road

That was the sensible me was thinking the same Wattie but then I think it’s a RR 8) and all new sports bikes are improved for the track not for the road.
one other thing the local dealer is asking 22K for a standard one saying it's on special.

It would be a waste to ride one of these on the road and not race it.
