Re: Which years ZX6R to buy or avoid ?

If tracking it, the 04's had a shitty rear suspension linkage which was harsh and very hard to set up to get a good lap time from. I still think a good low klms 05/06 636 with some suspension work would be perfect. When mine was new and completely stock, it could keep up with fully prepped race 600's at Broadford. As long as you don;t over rev them on down changes, they rarely pop valves.

Despite Cath's and Leanne's trackies going bang, I've also seen Cath's roadie with over 80,000 kms still going strong, and I've not ehard of any others going bang. I personally would have another 05-06 in a flash.

Hi Brian, I have the 09 and its a great bike to ride.

Unfortunately, with all the kids crap going on and my soon to happen shoulder replacement, I don't, and won't, get to ride it much anymore...

Given that, its sitting here not getting much use atm and I have been thinking about selling it.

Let me know if you'd like to have a look...

Thanks Dave, will keep it well in mind. Unfortunately, despite taking a deposit, the sale of my CBR fell through, so I've got to get rid of that first ...

Cheers,
Brian

Hope you kept the deposit as that's what it's there for... Had a guy do that to me on car once, easiest 1K I've ever made.

I'm not sure if his story is true or not, so if he asks nicely I'll give him back the deposit after he gets a lecture about dicking people around. But I won't be offering unless he asks !
