Tyre options for an '07 ZX-10R!

Postby michael » Sat Mar 15, 2014 3:36 pm

Hey all! :D

Hope everyone is well. I wanted to start this thread as my current tyres are on the way out. I thought it would be good to hear a few opinions from some of the more experienced riders on a pretty important subject!

So what is your most preferred set of tyres?

Peace! :kuda:

I guess it all depends on a whe host of factors...

Where do you usually ride, town, freeway, twisties, track or a combination?

How hard do you ride?

Do you prefer a more stable ride with a slower turn in, or a slightly flightier ride with a faster turn in?

Do you want longevity or grip?

Do you ride solely in the dry, or venture out on cold wet days too?

Personally I ride on a while variety of roads, sometime I push, other times I cruise & I ride in all conditions. For that my choice of tyres on the same bike are Michelin pilot power 2CT. Duel compound with a medium centre and a soft edge. Grip is good in the wet, but turn in is a little slow.

I've used Diabalo super corsa on the track and found them great, but not for on the road.

This is a very subjective discussion & and they're are a plethora of possibilities...
