looks like as a noob I can't post pics.
It has the 2 separate lights but a single lens cover where as the earlier model had the separate lights and lens cover I think. Is this correct?

Hi , your build date says everything !! Its a genuine 14R imo. It may be classed as a 13 model dated that late on the plate ? :D

Correct.
The current one has 3 headlight lenses aand the older one has 4 headlight lenses.

As a noob you can post pics.
Just press the reply button at the bottom instead of just typing in the reply box.
On the new page you will be able to ad pics.

Sounds like the current model to me.

Are the dials white or black faced ?

If they're black and the LCD screen comes up with an image of the headlamps on start-up then it's the current model.

yep black dial face and the LCD does all that stuff including the image of the head light layout on "Key On"

sounds like I got what I paid for, It just doesn't feel like I thought it would with the suggested power level

cheers

What bike did you own before?
Remember it is a heavy bike and power down low is generally softened to make it more rideable for the general population.
Does it have any mods?
