Hi,

I am literally days away from purchasing but a few flags have been nagging away at me and I need to know if anyone in Australia has purchased either the CT Single or Alien Head 2 for the 2012-14 ZX-14r and what their thoughts are? If there is anywhere that would know it would be here....

Alternatively, has anyone done an Australian Dyno shootout with the Exhaust availability on the market that they wish to share their thoughts and ideas around what is the best performance, lightest weight and value (perceived) in their travels?

I am struggling to justify titanium at this stage but I am concerned that brocks have only had teams race the stainless stuff which weighs more and is bigger (naturally).

Any thoughts greatly appreaciated.

Have a look on the zx1441 website, that should give you more feedback. I guess if will depend what you want to do with the bike but hard to beat the brocks at the drags

Not personally but Brocks have good gear and I have used a few of the products on the bike so far.
The biggest factor in changing out the factory system is the weight saving.
Just changing to slip ons will have a big improvement on pure weight saving.
The factory headers can be modified to remove the cat but having a standard system to go back to if you run fowl of the law is a must.
The shipping for Brocks gear is not cheap to Australia.
There full systems also exceed the 1 K tax free benefit.
A good set of Akrapovic Headers and a set of Light weight Slips that suit your style would be a better cheaper option.
If cost is not an issue how about approaching a local manufacturer and designing your own or go for a full import.
I went for a fairly cheap slip and it has 3 baffle options. Quite/loud and Unrestricted.
The weight coming off the bike was the biggest advantage by far over what it would show in HP gain on the dyno.
This is just sample of what can be saved with small slips.

i have been meaning to post back here several times but have been distracted.

I have since ordered the Alien Head 2 full system and Power Commander V and decel pop elimianter and braided brake lines and paid and shipped and are now in a wearhouse in Australia somewhere waiting to be delivered on Monday....

and yes, I weighted (literally) it all up and the saving is about 75% and about a 80% with a full Titanium (ct single) but $500 more so I went ofr the ultra light stainless.

I'll ring around my favourite dyno places and see who sounds the most convincing to do a 100% job of the fitment of everything and then the dyno remap.

the bike is ultimately just a pure domination bike, i.e. 95% of the time it will dominate unless someone with clear ambition and skill and a sports bike wants to own me then they can. The goal is to create a nice looking very well handling (not moto gp best style), fast as all buggery (but not a drag bike), that is SUPER easy to ride and sounds AWESOME another key requirement for the exhaust was that it had to be INDIVIDUAL and I tried the locals (wont name names as I don't want to diss aus manufacturing) but to no avail... so hence I went to Brocks as I have heard alot of reviews from alot of dif forums and their support was/is amazing and I really pushed them hard for 2months with questions and answers back and forth and they were very very accommodating even when I said I only wanted the power commander and nothing else bringing the sale down to 395 dollars from 2k.... so I still have to see how the full system goes but ill post some piks up and stats when done. I love the 14s and this is tops. Like the Brock's plate.

When i have the dollars I'm looking at either the alien head or street meg from Brock's for my zrx for the different factor and they look tops.

Those stock cans are hideous..

I wouldn't go as far as saying they're hideous. They serve a purpose in keeping the exhaust quiet, which for long rides and touring I prefer.
They look a lot less conspicuous when you paint the end caps with a $3.00 can of satin paint though.
