Postby myzx10r » Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:34 pm

Hi kwaks,

I just bought a Gumby and just wondering what you opinions are on pipes. Tossing up
Between arrows or akras (as per the subject heading) but just want some thoughts on either. Also do I get ride of cat. Converter or not. Benefits if I do???

Thanks peeps.

Regards,
Rizzo

Both are great brands... go with whatever you think looks better. As for the cat, is it a track/race bike? If not, I wouldn't bother.

The akro pipes suit the gumby shape pretty well.
But there is heaps of options out there

Just for the road/coffee/natio type riding.no track days. I bought this Gumby with only 4.5klms so I wanna look after it like all of my other bikes that I've had. I'm a ducati/ kwaka type person (only bikes I've ever owned).

Thanks for the reply. I think arrows ATM only because I haven't seen any gumbys sporting them.

I got the carbon Akra's from new, love them. I haven't bothered with the link pipe/cat replacement as it has the butterfly valve in and I can't be bothered blanking it off. Certainly wish mine still only had 4.5klms, slightly over 40K and I haven't ridden it for 18 months!

I know, but plans are afoot to reregister it soon. Just need to tidy a few bits up, tyres, service & chain and its good to go.
