Gumby Fuel Consumption

Postby robracer » Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:39 pm

Got 160 Km before the light came on & there is meant to be 4 odd ltr left left in the tank, I refueled & put in 13 Ltr so my question to other gumby owners.... is this normal consumption for mixed city / twisty riding?
The 636 used to get well over 200 before the light came on :?

Did you get the Gumby for its fuel consumption Rob?
I would take it back on the grounds of false advertising especially because it uses more than a 6 ;)

Eh, no hope of anywhere near 200ks before my crim pings on the light!

More like 160km's... sometimes less! I commute in the city so its all stop/start/stop shit!

All depends how hard u ride & where. I got 300 out of mine on a freeway run. Boring but ok. A spirited run in the twisties sees the light on at 180-200

Thats about all i got out of mine when it was on the road, mixed riding as u described, i once ran it out... on purpose to see what i got from full to running out, from memory it was 195 of 205 Ks

Funny tho, after the pipes, pipercross race filter and custom mapped PC3, it got worse... i thort it may have got a tad better.

The light does come on very early.. pain in the arse now, as i only run enough fuel per session, and the light comes on after a lap or so.

I will check again this weekend.

I never go overboard when filling mine and normally see 185 before the light comes on.
According to the maual, light coming on should leave you with 5ltrs till empty 8)
