Hi Guys,
Thanks for the help on what to do on my Crim. went to natio this morning, met Phil & Scott. Thanks for your pointers on fixing the little probs on the new ride. I have sorted out the headlight condensation problem now.
On the other hand, I noticed that when I take my hands off the bars, they seems to Wobble in a tank slap manner, and my bro and I noticed the front tyre/rim seems to look like its wobbling. At 60klms, all good but from 75 or more wobbles. I have a Toby steering damper but it ain't helping.
Any ideas of what may be causing it??
Cheers,
Dave aka Rizzo

Bad tyre, buckled rim, bearings gone, triple clamp loose

Which order do I start in?

If you have a front stand, Lift the front wheel up and give it a spin and see if it's buckled.
If so, take it to Laurie Alderton. His son David straightens wheels/discs etc

That's a big conclusion to jump to mate!
Check the
-Wheel for buckles
-The tyre for lumps or being out of round.
-Then maybe get it balanced if you didn't find anything so far.
-check discs for being warped
Then maybe start looking at head stem bearings. How many km does the bike have? You should get 50,000km or so out of a set. More if you keep them adjusted an greased.
In saying all this. I have found just about every Bridgestone road tyre ive had on the front, if you take your hands off the bars which rolling along the Nara wobble a bit. But once you're holding them it goes away.

The bike only had 7000klms on it. Bought second hand from a dealer but the wobbling is baffling me. It handles nice and it feels good through the twisties. The rubbers are michelin powers but don't know how old they are.
I'll do the simple things first as mentioned
