My Blue ZX14 Has Passed On

On Thursday 13-10-11 1-00pm at Wangarratta, my baby blue ZX14 had a meeting with Skippy on the Hume Freeway on the way to Phillip Island. Skippy died at the scene on impact (he would have anyway) but the ZX held on till the assessor rang today. Hit the bugger square on and I think if it was any other bike the outcome wouldn't have been too good. No chance for braking so impact was at 110kph.
Got off pretty lightly with fractured wrist, impact bruising on right foot, right knee and right hip. But still made it to the island (albeit in a hire car) :)

Just goes to show that the wildlife doesn't just come out in the dawn & dusk.
