2007 zx10r pillion

Postby gunn parker » Wed Sep 21, 2011 12:51 pm

Hi All
New guy from Perth here.
I am riding a 1999 zx9r at the moment but am looking to trade up to a 2007 zx10r, I showed it to my wife who said the pillion seat looks small and the pegs looked too high. She thinks she will have her knees up near her ears :)

Does anyone have one and ride with a pillion and what do they think of it?

Thanks a lot in advance
cheers

I threw my Mrs on the back of my 04 zx10, her complaint was that the pegs were too high and too far back. She couldn't support herself with the pegs.

A 5 min ride wasn't enough to worry about the seat. But it was enough for her to let me take off the pilling pegs and throw them in the cupboard.

Thanks guys, She does not ride much, but now it's getting warm we have a few rides planned. One is a 100K ride out to York. So maybe this bike is not right for her and she'd whinge all the way :)

Cheers

Ive got a 07 zx10 track bike only now, but was on road for a year, and girlfriend rode pillion for that time and hade no problems with it, and we covered up to 500km a day, but she is only short, if that helps, but she would sit behind me on anything!!

My other half hated it as well, she coped with a couple of times while we were date and I had the 07 but as soon as I got the 08 she told me to jam that idea, let's just say I didn't need another hint to remove the rear pillion pegs

My lovely wife took one look at the pillion seat and said, "I'm not getting on the back of that". I said fine, ride your own bike

:)
If only she had a license.
I love the look of the bike but she might complain I guess.

I was looking at my z9 this morning and comparing it to a pic of a zx10 and the pillion pegs look a similar distance from the seat.
Does that sound about right?
cheers

It also comes with a box of all the original parts, done about 29500K's

I rang my wife and told her it was still for sale and really we would not get the time away from home and our daughter together and so she would not be on it too much to complain about the pegs..... She agreed :)
