2011 ZX10R Track Build Up FINISHED - (AT LAST !!!!!)

Hey all,

Well I have started the build up on my new track 2011 ZX10R.. very excited of course, but taking my time as well, as I am still learning how to pull this thing apart..!! :?

First thing I did was to remove that huge 'dangling nut bag cat box' and wow how heavy is that... thanks to 'Muzz' from this forum, I have already fitted the Akrapovic link pipe. Pulled the seat off and removed the exhaust servo and cables, replaced that with my good old 'servo buddy'.. all good there.. Very neat even though no one will ever see it..!! ;)

I pulled the rear end apart, which was pretty easy really, all the electrics are so easy to work with, just unplug and loom up into the rubber boot and it's done, excellent. Fitted the 'Armour Bodies' ducktail.. which also fitted without any problems at all.. I am just waiting for my link pipe to be made up and then I can fit my muffler.. :D

Whilst working onthe rear end I decided to rip the rear wheel out and replace the stock sprocket with a 41 tooth (up 2 teeth), which allows me to move the wheel back in a bit more.. With the 'cat box' in place, the wheel is pulled back into it's furtherest position, so the extra 2 teeth aloow the wheel to come in 10mm.. works much better..

So that's it at the moment... More pics and updates to come as the build up continues..!!

Hey all,

Well I have been busy continuing the 2011 ZX10R Track Bike build up.. So far I have been able to get a fair bit done...

Replaced levers with Pazzo shorties,
Disconnect & Remove EXUP cables,
Remove Catalytic Convertor / Muffler,
Fit Akrapovic Link Pipe,
Fit New Rear Sprocket (+2),
Block Off Secondary Air Injection,
Fit Armour Bodies Race Glass,
Fit GB Racing Engine Covers,
Fit Evotech Muffer hanger,
Remove Stock Tyres,
Fit Dunlop D211's,

I am waiting for new link pipe (getting made next week) then I can properly fit the Leo Vince EVO II Carbon pipe (as seen in pics), also waiting on Rearsets coming next week. Still I am very happy with the project so far. The Armour Bodies Race glass fitted so perfectly, so good that it even allows for the in-fill panels to be fitted so you cant see any wiring at all..!! Very professional and easy to fit.

Same with the GB engine casing protectors.. perfect fit everytime..!! Thanks to 'Triway' for supplying me with these awesome parts !! :D So next update should be with the rearsets and the link pipe fitted.. I just have to make up a solid mount for the rectifier, and it will be ready to take to the Island for it's debut 'run in' session.. I hope the weather is good so I can get a few k's on the clock. Then it will be off to the painters with the race glass... Stand by for more updates..!!
